Scraping a popcorn ceiling is messy, unglamorous work — which is exactly why you want a crew that seals the room off first. We mask the walls and floors in plastic, scrape the texture, then skim-coat and sand the ceiling smooth; the scraping is the easy half, and the skim coat is what makes it look right. One honest caution: ceiling texture applied before the mid-1980s can contain asbestos, so on older ceilings we have a sample tested before any scraping starts — no exceptions. If it comes back hot, we tell you straight and point you to a licensed abatement company instead of pretending it’s fine.
